QINGDAO will construct seven forestry industrial bases to give full play to its rich resources in the industry, according to the city’s forestry bureau.

    The city’s forestry industry has seen fast development, exceeding 7.78 billion yuan in yearly output.

    There are seven leading areas in the city’s forestry industry including timber production and processing, forestry machinery processing and production, flower planting, forest tourism and wild animal breeding.

    The city’s six forestry products such as tea, honey and fruit wine claimed gold prizes in the recently concluded second Forestry Expo China.(Li Hao, Wang Liyan)
