The annual Shenzhen & Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Uranism and Architecture opened at the Civic Center in Futian District on Thursday with several new focuses, including green energy, climate change and affordable housing. A chronological exhibit featuring Shenzhen’s development was on display in the Shenzhen-Hong Kong section. It recorded the city’s history and evironmental changes in words and images. This year’s biennale showcased five architectural projects under construction with illustrations on how architects designed the buildings and their impact on the city’s general environment, architecture industry and the city’s development. The biennale, which ends Feb. 18, will have exhibitions, forums, lectures and salons at the Civic Center’s square and OCT-LOFT in Nanshan District. (Sun Yuchen) |
