TSINGTAO Beer has signed an agreement to build a beer manufacturing base in Hainan Province, which is expected to produce 40 million liters of beer each year. The production facilities will be located in the economic development zone in Chengmai County in the province, the first stage of which would have a capacity of producing 20 million liters of beer each year. “The location has a sound environment, convenient transportation and developed infrastructure, which is conducive to the development of our enterprise,” said Sun Mingbo, president of Tsingtao Beer, at the signing ceremony in Hainan on Dec. 6. Sun said Tsingtao Beer can achieve further development in Hainan thanks to its ongoing attempt to become a world-famous tourist destination. In addition, the enterprise can provide more high-quality products and services to tourists from around the world. One of the leading enterprises in Qingdao, Tsingtao Beer has been accelerating its expansion since the beginning of this year, building factories outside of the city. In October, Tsingtao Beer signed an agreement to build a factory in Thailand. Experts said the expansion by Tsingtao Beer would improve its production capacity, consolidating its leading status in the country’s beer industry. (Li Hao, Duan Xiaodong) |
