A SINO-GERMANY ecological park has started construction at an economy and technology development park in Qingdao.

    The project is the first ecological and intellectual industrial park jointly built by the Chinese and German governments. The project was planned in July 2010 and the two countries later signed the cooperation agreement.

    According to the plan, the park will become an ecological industrial park for high-end industries, gathering a large number of leading ecological and environmental companies. It will mainly be in high-end manufacturing and the modern service industry.

    Covering an area of 10 square meters, the project will become a model for cooperation between Asia and Europe, in the high-end industry, environmental protection and sustainable development.

    China General Consulting & Investment Co. Ltd. will be in charge of the construction, management and financing.

    The park will be completed by the end of 2020.
