In the mid-term exam, we were asked to write an article on the topic — Flower or tree, which would you rather be?

    Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I have my opinion on the differences between flowers and trees.

    Flowers are generally regarded as symbols of beauty, immaculacy and love. They are fragrant and pretty and good for attracting girls.

    Trees are more plain in appearance and easily ignored, but they are upright and essential to the preservation of life on earth. Without them, we would have no paper or buildings. In this respect, trees are more important and honorable.

    Flowers are attractive, but brittle and weak. Flowers are not good at surviving extreme weather, but trees are. Trees are brave, strong and silent. For this reason, they are easy to take for granted. I think we could all benefit from being more like trees.
