QINGDAO plans to incubate a batch of high-quality domestic service companies by 2015 and all domestic helpers should receive service certificates. By 2020, a domestic service system will cover the entire city, according to a plan.

    Preferential policies will be issued to encourage more domestic service companies to open in the city.

    Domestic helpers are encouraged to work in domestic services, endowment services, community cares and nursing services. Those who sign employment contracts of more than one year can receive a 200-yuan subsidy every month.

    Subsidies will also be given to those who pay social insurance, while special services and financial support will be given to farmers who start their own domestic service business, the plan said.

    The city will establish a special fund to support the industry, building a public information platform and awarding outstanding companies and domestic helpers. (Wang Yuanyuan, Qing Bao)
