On November 11 and 12, our school held its 22nd annual sports meeting. Bathed in the sunshine of this invigorating autumn, our class — Class 3 Junior 1 — was well represented and made some impressive achievements.

    When the gun was fired and the 4x100 boys’ relay of Junior 1 began, our classmate Song Ruijie inspired us to yell for him from both sides of the track. The runner who finished last, Lin Hao, had tried his best, but the others were simply too fast. Unfortunately, none of our classmates won. But we unfailingly got behind our “team.”

    We showed our team spirit by running alongside our classmates, handing them bottles of water and wiping their sweat.

    Our class finished second, but the togetherness we showed was my enduring memory of this year’s event.
