Experimental high-speed train completed
    2012-01-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AN experimental high-speed train has been completed by the city’s CSR Qingdao Sifang Co. Ltd., marking a step forward in China’s research of high-speed trains.

It took two years for the experimental train to be completed, which sees innovation in system integration, the body of the train and the braking system.

The first two compartments of the gray train are filled with experimental equipment and the third compartment contains a comprehensive system to process data. Seats are installed in other compartments.

The experimental train is expected to run faster than the high-speed train on the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. Eleven categories of experiments will be conducted on the train, which has more than 1,100 sensors.(Li Hao, Zhang Xudong)
