THE new outpatient and inpatient building of Qingdao Central Hospital has started operation, which is expected to relieve the scarce medical resources in the northern part of the city. The 17-floor building has 1,000 beds and each ward is equipped with a bathroom and an air-conditioner. The broad outpatient hall can sustain large crowds and an electronic information system can increase the efficiency of the queueing system. There are eight special departments in the cancer diagnosis and treatment center. (Li Hao, Sui Jun) |
