QINGDAO has installed an intelligent traffic signal system on the Zhengyang Road Central in Chengyang District.

    Thanks to the system, vehicles can pass the crossing within two signal cycles.

    The system covers a 3.7-kilometer road section, including an intelligent traffic signal machine at each crossing.

    The passing time of the vehicles on the road had decreased from eight minutes to five minutes since the trial operation of the system.

    An average of 26,000 vehicles pass the road each day.
