Construction starts on film & TV project
    2012-01-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

QINGDAO Dongtang Film and TV Technology Co. has started constructing a film and TV industrial park in the main area of the city’s high-tech zone in northern Jiaozhou Bay.

It is the first cultural project to be located in the high-tech zone.

With an investment of 48 million yuan, the project is planned to cover a floor area of 10,000 square meters.

The project will include a special effects workshop, editing workshop, sound effects workshop and a film and TV technology center.

The completion of the project will put an end to the city’s shortage of professional film and TV studios.

The project is scheduled to be completed and go into operation at the end of this year.

In addition, the project is expected to gather between 200 and 300 professionals in the film and TV production industries, giving impetus to the development of nearby small film and TV production companies.

Established in 2004, the Dongtang company produces more than 10 film and TV programs each year, some of which have been screened on media including CCTV.
