THE city introduced almost 50,000 professionals last year, including 1,036 returned overseas Chinese.

    The city established three work stations in Washington D. C., New York and Philadelphia to introduce professionals to Qingdao, including those from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and University of Southampton.

    Last year saw 24 high-level professionals come to Qingdao, who are urgently needed by the city’s industries of ocean biology, construction and molecular biology.
