IN the first three quarters of last year, the added value of the service industry increased by 12.3 percent, higher than any other industry in the city. The added value last year was expected to increase by 12 percent over the previous year, accounting for about 48 percent of the city’s total GDP. Since last year, the city has launched 139 projects with targeted investment of nearly 300 billion yuan. Some 230 key projects had total investment of nearly 280 billion yuan. At present, there are six provincial service industrial areas, 12 city areas and 24 key areas.
