A JAPANESE liner with about 470 South Korean passengers arrived at Qingdao port and started their journey in the city Jan. 12, which was the first international liner in Qingdao this year. The liner was about 167 meters long and 24 meters wide. There are restaurants, bars, a swimming pool and a gym, making the liner similar to a five-star holiday resort on the sea. The passengers had a one-day tour of the city. A total of 21 liners visited Qingdao in 2011, bringing about 66,000 passengers and sailors. (Wang Yuanyuan, Shen Junlin) |
