Temple fair to be held
    2012-01-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE city’s annual Hawthorn Candy Festival, also known as Haiyun Temple Fair, is scheduled to be held between Feb. 7 and 12.

A signature temple fair in the city, this year’s fair will feature a performance of Liuzi opera, one of China’s first batch of national intangible cultural heritage, and a lion dance competition.

Visitors will be invited to take snapshots of the temple fair to vie for awards.

In addition, Taoists from Laoshan Mountain will be invited to hold a blessing ceremony at the Haiyun Temple, as well as a Taoism concert.

Snacks from all around the world, including Japan, Russia and North Korea, will gather at the fair to feed visitors’ eyes and stomachs.(Li Hao)
