TSINGTAO Beer is one of 10 US$1 billion companies to see an increase of more than 5 percent in each of the past 10 years, according to research done by Rita Gunther McGrath from the University of Columbia. McGrath chose 4,793 companies with a market value of more than US$1 billion as research samples and found only 10 companies’ net profit had increased by at least 5 percent in each of the past 10 years. Among these, only five companies had seen increases in both annual sales revenue and net profit. Tsingtao Beer is the only Chinese company of the 10. His report said these companies were all innovative. They normally entered the market earlier than others and seek development through reform and creativity. All their clients are very loyal and their business models are mature and effective. (Wang Yuanyuan, Duan Xiaodong) |
