Haiyun Temple Fair delights visitors
    2012-02-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE 23rd Qingdao Haiyun Temple Fair opened Feb. 7. The fair is recognized as one of the 10 national folk festivals in China.

Local residents braved cold weather to attend the fair in Sifang and taste the variety of sugar balls among other attractions.

The six-day fair featured more than 100 activities and display of over 20 works of folk art.

In addition, a total of seven items of national and provincial intangible cultural heritage, such as Kunqu opera, appeared at the fair.

Puppet shows and lion dances were also performed.(Li Hao)
