AGRICULTURAL machines will be upgraded this year, particularly those for cultivating nuts, potatoes, sweet potatoes, ginger, garlic and carrots. Production of more than 60 percent of the main crops will be done by machines.

Model bases for modern agricultural, aquatic product breeding and vegetable planting will be built this year. Advanced technology will be introduced to improve quality and increase quantity.

Agricultural machine management and service centers will be built for production, supervision, promotion and training. Seven technology training bases and eight repairing centers for machines will also be built in rural areas.

At present, the city has 302 agricultural machine cooperation centers with 36,000 machines and more than 10,000 members.
