Events to boost city’s tourism industry
    2012-03-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

QINGDAO will strive to attract more tourists by hosting three big events this year.

The events are China’s domestic tourism trade fair, a meeting between tourism officials from China and the United States, and an international road marathon.

The trade fair is the biggest of its kind organized by the State tourism bureau and is scheduled for April 13-15 in Qingdao. More than 2,000 exhibitors and 100,000 people are expected to attend.

The meeting between tourism officials is scheduled for Sept. 17-19.

More than 3,000 people from aviation associations across the world are expected to join the road marathon and associated events from Oct. 10-14.
