俞洪 云南大学洋浦校区经济学院 06 国贸 指导教师:徐颖利 Is volunteering worthwhile? Some students shake their heads in disapproval, regarding it as a waste of precious learning time, while others may support volunteering as it is hugely beneficial. Personally, I have no doubt that being a volunteer can be a valuable experience that can't be obtained on campus. As society develops, competition becomes increasingly fierce. Probably the best talent is to be able to deal with sticky situations, adapt to pressure and tackle difficulties. We need to get as much worldly experience as possible when we're young. Volunteering is a great opportunity. It not only enriches our school life, but also gives us the chance to broaden our horizon and knowledge. On the one hand, we can make a contribution to society and people. On the other hand, we could improve ourselves through volunteer work. It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. If we start by doing small jobs well, such as being a good volunteer, we will be confident when facing bigger challenges in the future. Luckily, I had the opportunity to volunteer in the 16th International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences held in the city where I studied. I tried to show the best part of myself in that big event. |
