Sino-German park releases ecological index
    2012-05-08  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

STAFF of the Sino-German Ecological Park held a meeting in Germany recently, after which they released the park’s ecological index system.

According to the system, the park will be built into a green area with developed economy and attractive environment.

The park will work on reducing production emissions and increasing efficiency. Among these, 30 percent of the industrial waste will be recycled and the percentage will be increased by 50 percent in 2020. Seventy-five percent of the water will also be recycled.

It will become a green park suitable for living and working. Each person will enjoy 30 square meters of green land.

All the buildings in the park will be ecological buildings, which use recycled resources. Eighty percent of the transportation tools will be green in 2020, while all waste will be dealt with.

It also targets becoming a happy community. Twenty percent of the houses will be government-subsidized and residents will have access to parking places only five minutes away by foot. (Wang Yuanyuan, Shen Junlin)
