City to host conducting competition
    2012-05-08  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A NATIONAL conducting competition named after Li Delun, a late prominent Chinese conductor, is scheduled to be held in Qingdao between June 18 and 23.

It will be the third national professional music competition to be held in the city. The first two were violin competitions.

The preliminary round of the competition was completed in Shanghai.

Twelve contestants who stood out in the preliminary round will compete in Qingdao.

The competition is the first national conducting competition named after a musician. Last year marked the 10th anniversary of Li’s passing away.(Li Hao)
