Every start is imperfect
    2012-05-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

During a business trip to Iran, my colleagues and I had to communicate with local customers in English.

To be honest, neither my colleagues nor our clients could speak English very well. After all, they had not majored in English. I was quite worried about our communication.

However, it turned out that my worries were quite unnecessary. Regardless of grammar or pronunciation, they talked fearlessly in English, with many gestures and writings, sometimes even drawing sketches to gain understanding. Anyway, it seemed my colleagues and clients could understand each other.

This impressed me very much. Many English learners are deeply afraid of speaking English because they think their English has too many mistakes, so they are never able to speak English. But, in fact, every start is imperfect. In other words, there is no perfect start and no perfect end.
