Two students in my sixth-grade class made strong impressions on me with their different attitudes toward challenges. One day, a student said to me in despair:“I really want to give up my English because my basic skills are so weak.” No matter what I said or did in order to change his mind, it was of no use. He just slept in class, copied others’ homework and hung out on campus. Naturally, he fell far behind his classmates. Another student was much more positive. He quietly started with the 26 letters, closely followed our teacher in class, finished homework seriously and consulted classmates for help. Gradually, he caught up with others. What’s more, he joined an English club to practice oral English. Certainly, he improved quickly. Judging from this I have to say, do not mind the past too much. Just keep studying today and you will get a better tomorrow. |
