Shenzhen University plans to enroll a total of 6,500 undergraduates this year, admissions officials said.

The enrollment includes 4,942 students who come from Guangdong Province, while 1,145 come from other provinces across the country.

Another 153 students will be from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Shenzhen University will also enroll 60 accomplished athletes for its sports training department. About 200 students will be enrolled from technical and vocational colleges in Guangdong Province.

Admissions officials plan to announce enrollment details, such as majors for selection, at the end of the month.

The university also plans to enroll 1,605 postgraduate students and 31 doctoral students this year.
