German center to be built
    2012-06-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE management committee of Qingdao’s economic and technical development zone has signed a strategic alliance agreement with the German Center for Industry and Trade in Shanghai.

Based on the agreement, the two parties will build a Qingdao German Center in the Sino-Germany industrial park in the zone.

The center will cover a floor area of 66,300 square meters, providing services to German companies and incubating enterprises.

The construction of the industrial park officially started in December last year. Progress has been made in the park’s planning and infrastructure construction.

The park will focus on low-carbon emission and energy efficiency.

Industries including new energy, marine economy, high-end equipment manufacturing and manufacturing service will be developed in the park.

The park has signed a letter of intent with China Development Bank on a 20-billion-yuan loan, which is expected to provide strong financial support to projects and enterprises in the park.

The park will also actively introduce German education institutions to foster professionals needed by the park’s development.

This year will see the start of the construction of 10 projects regarding intelligent energy, environmentally-friendly building material and technical training.

With a registered capital of 500 million yuan, a company has been established to develop the park, which has employed 30 people who either used to work in Germany or are familiar with German culture.
