THE Ministry of Commerce has released the feasibility research report of the free trade zone among China, Japan and South Korea. The report said the free trade zone will boost trade and investment between the three countries, as well as trilateral cooperation. The free trade zone should be involved in commodity trading, service trading and investment. The three countries started the feasibility research in October in 2009 and pledged to accelerate the research in May last year. Qingdao has been keeping a close eye on the progress of the feasibility research and issued measures May 14 to deepen its economic and trade cooperation with Japan and South Korea. The city has been discussing the feasibility of establishing innovative industrial parks in cooperation with the two countries. (Li Hao, Shen Junlin) |
