深圳市新安中学初三(6)班 袁梓钦 指导老师 韩琳 汤颖 On our school's open day, my Chinese teacher Peng Liqiong gave us a very instructive lesson. The topic of the lesson was learning Di Zi Gui (Behavioral Norms for Students) to be a good mannered person. Di Zi Gui was written by Li Yuxiu and it is heavily influenced by ancient Chinese sage Confucius' great work Lun Yu. It consists of seven chapters: filial piety, brotherliness, prudence, honesty, loving everybody, following kind-hearted people and hunger for knowledge. Peng is one of the best Chinese teachers in our school. Besides teaching the textbooks, she has taught us some famous Chinese classical works and Di Zi Gui is one of them. She always says to us, "Piety is the foundation of all virtue." The atmosphere in the classroom was very good with group competitions and every student was active in raising questions and discussions. Some students went to the front of the classroom to discuss its meanings and recited lines from Di Zi Gui. Students also talked about what they had learned from the article, and examined their past bad behavior and spoke about how to improve themselves. What impressed the audience was that the students talked frankly about their bad behavior. One student said, "Only after I had learned Di Zi Gui did I realize how shameful some of my past behaviour had been. |
