There will also be other performances during the art exchange festival, lectures and science exhibitions at the Children’s Palace, Zeng Xun, an official from the palace, said on Saturday. The ballad show was performed by Guangzhou Art School and Shenzhen December Dance Troupe. They also performed several classic ballad programs such as “Albert” and “Esmee Rada.” Several Shenzhen-produced ballad shows, such as “Rainy Season” and “The Ballad of Shenzhen Bay,” were also staged for the first time. It is the sixth year for the city to hold the cultural and art exchange festival for students, aiming at providing a platform for the city’s student art troupes to display their achievements and exchange with student artists in other cities and countries. It will last until August 31. During the event, international and domestic youth art troupes will be invited to perform in the city, establishing friendships with artisitically gifted students.
