Basketball matches between classes
    2012-07-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

On November 28, inter-class basketball matches were held in the newly established senior section of Xin’an Middle School.

All of the classes were eager to win so they were thoroughly prepared. Basketball is very popular among the young so getting picked to play was highly competitive.

There were also a large number of basketball fans watching the matches. Every afternoon as soon as lessons finished, the basketball courts were packed. Every match was attended by noisy crowds cheering on their classmates.

Because students have less time to do exercise as they get older, it is important to keep doing sport to stay healthy. Having an unhealthy body can also lead to having an unhealthy mind.

To solve this problem, we should do sports such as playing basketball and football, jogging and so on. Even if we have no time for sports, we should do something to counterbalance our heavy study load.

Study is important for students, but we don’t always have to be bookworms. I believe students can do well academically as well as enjoy sports. Though the venue on our campus is not yet fully developed, we are happy to have space for table tennis, gymnastics and basketball.
