Be thankful for military training
    2012-09-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

东莞实验中学高一 罗士涵 指导老师 蒋坛军

Our class has just completed its mandatory month of military training. It was an unforgettable challenge.

On each day of training, we had to stand upright in blazing heat for two hours, squatting for one hour, marching for three hours and many more challenges. In the end, all of my classmates successfully completed the training.

There are some things I would particularly like to mention about the experience.

First of all, I learned about the importance of teamwork. During our cross-country runs, students who fell behind were given a hand and encouragement. When someone failed to do a salute correctly the rest would help him correct it. If a student had been scolded by the coach, we would all get together and comfort him afterwards.

I also learned a lot about discipline. Any student who violated the rules would face severe punishment. We quickly learned to obey the rules.

Although every day was exhausting, we all learned a lot of important life lessons. It also made us fitter and more resilient. The person I most have to thank for the experience is the coach. He put us through it all and guided us through the blood, sweat and tears.
