Recitation is not so bad
    2012-10-24  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

 南京外国语学校仙林分校初二(13)班 何苏怡

Once, I thought reciting English essays was a chore, even though my teachers assured me it would help me a lot. I really wanted to learn English well, so I began to recite English essays. After years of recitation practice, I can see it has made a lot of difference and I even rather enjoy it now.

The first thing to focus on is grasping the overall meaning of the essay, and to do this you must figure out the meanings of the difficult words and sentences. I repeatedly read the knotty words and sentences until I can easily do it. Next, I chant the paragraphs one by one with great fluency in a loud voice. Then, I recite the paragraphs one by one smoothly; Eventually, I could recite the whole article.

From the above, we can easily know that practice and patience are important for reciting an English essay. Certainly, Rome was not built in a day, therefore, as the teacher suggested, I recite all kinds of essays. If you want to improve your English you should do the same. Trust me, it works.
