Celebrating New Year on snowy Emei Mountain
    2013-01-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    广东宏远外国语学校 凡珊珊

On December 31, three of my good friends and I celebrated New Year’s Eve by climbing the famous Emei Mountain in Sichuan Province. The whole journey was pleasant. The most memorable part was playing with snow on the mountain.

After we reached the top of the mountain, I found the trees were in thick white coats and the branches were covered with white hats that were made of flakes. It looked like a wonderland.

I could not help running freely on the snowy ground with my friends and stretching out my hands to touch the falling snow. We had a snowball fight in the bushes.

“Let’s make a snowman!” my friends suggested. We collected snow and made a snowman, then carefully put three red buttons on the face of the snowman to represent its eyes and mouth. Finally, a cute snowman was standing in front of us.

Suddenly, a toddler ran fast towards our snowman. He put his hat on the head of the snowman and said in a childlike manner: “He needs a hat to keep warm!” We all burst into laughter.

As twilight descended, we were busy taking pictures. With the beautiful snow and excited people, we began the new year happily.
