Born in Shanghai in 1967, Zhou pioneered his own style of stand-up comedy called “Shanghai-style Small talk.” He specializes in observational humor about urban life and economic and political issues. He uses a mixture of Mandarin, Shanghai dialect and some English words and is widely loved in Shanghai and around the country.
