Staying calm while taking a difficult exam
    2013-02-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    东莞市东华初级中学 初三(14)班 梁正 指导老师:蒋坛军

I nearly burst into tears when I read the questions in my final politics exam. “What a difficult test,” I thought.

I tried my best to finish the questions, but I became extremely nervous and couldn’t come up with the answers. Suddenly, something my politics teacher had said came back to me, “Only losers are defeated by themselves.”

“If the exam is hard for me, then it may be hard for others, too.” I forced myself to keep calm, and then I read the questions carefully. I gradually realized that although the questions were hard, they were still within the scope of my knowledge. I started to answer the questions that seemed easier for me, and tried to write the basic principles of politics on paper. To my surprise, I got a high score in the exam.

If you want to pass a hard exam, keeping calm is the key. But studying hard is the precondition if one wants to have reason to be calm.
