On a warm Sunday I decided to ride a bike with some friends near Songshan Lake in Dongguan. After we arrived at our destination, I found there were several steep hills and countless people riding on them. I could not help but worry about the potential dangers. I had not ridden a bike since I was 13 years old. “Just give it a try,” my friends encouraged me. I tried to sit on the seat and held the break with extra care. When I started riding the bike, it was as if the breeze was trying to reassure me. The happy figures of the old and children riding on the hills made the idea of bike-riding more enticing. My friend and I decided to take on the steep hills. We rode in single file, and cheered each other up, we climbed the hills and finally reached the peak. We were exhausted but happy. Riding a bike is a joyous sport. I had a lot of fun that day. |
