Spring

    Spring

     Dear readers,

    Spring is nearly here!

The weather has been pleasant lately. The sun is out, temperatures are rising, and the parks are filling up again. Walking outside, I see lots of people basking under the sun in parks. Some sit on benches and others lie on the grass. Some read a book and others are simply enjoying the first signs of spring.

Thanks to the wonderful weather, many more activities have been held on campus. In addition to more outdoor sports activities, there have been dances, shows and other events. For many of the large-scale events, you have to buy tickets in advance and sometimes tickets are also available online.

Street fairs are also springing up in the city. The last one I saw was a food market, where various foods, from hot dishes to desserts, were being sold. The vendors set up their stalls on the street, which was closed to traffic. I have also seen flea markets — where a wide variety of goods is available at low prices.

The weather is also a great motivation to study for remaining midterms. Some of my teachers have suggested having class outdoors. I think that is a brilliant idea. Can’t wait till the weather gets even warmer!

    Sincerely,

    Bingyin
