On May 11, we went to Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park. The following day was Mother’s Day, so we decided to make do-it-yourself gifts for our moms.

    We first toured the park and later arrived at a ceramic experience museum. We found a traditional penthouse and some pottery. All of us were excited, especially when we stepped into a park called Maoming Charm. We found that we could not only gain knowledge of ceramic art in the park, but also make pottery ourselves. The art teacher of the park taught us the basic skills of making pottery.

    First, mix the pottery clay and stir it until it looks like cream. Second, apply the pottery clay to a model and form a plate. After that, we should set our imagination free and decide the shape and color of our own artworks.

    Everyone worked hard and carefully and mixed our love for our moms with the sticky clay. When we left with pottery works in our hands, each of us was very happy. I was very proud of making such a gift for my mom.
