Chinese Dream involves every Chinese
    2013-06-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

President Xi Jinping recently conceptualized the “Chinese Dream,” the core concept of which is to achieve a great revival of the Chinese nation.

Looking back on our disgraceful history of being invaded, I am quite in favor of the blueprint. Only by being strong both economically and mentally can we prevent our motherland from re-experiencing tragedy.

But we must be aware that Rome was not built in a day. Without a long-time endeavor, both by the government and every Chinese, the Chinese Dream will never come true. Thus, every person should be a doer instead of an onlooker.

As for myself, I am trying my best to contribute to the realization of the Chinese Dream by integrating my own dreams. To realize its goal the country needs high-quality, safe and well-planned construction. However, currently, many designs are not scientifically built and the quality of construction often is not satisfactory. These problems are my greatest concerns and inspire me to dream of being a professional architect and making a contribution to construction. As a senior high school student, the first step of realizing my dream is to major in architecture at a university.

As former Premier Wen Jiabao once said, we should “look up at the starry sky while standing on the solid ground,” which means in the process of realizing our great dreams, we need to take pragmatic actions step by step, starting right now.
