Fresh from the national stage as the winner of “The Voice,” Houston’s Danielle Bradbery is working on her very first singles.

    The 16-year-old Cypress, Texas native was in Nashville last week in the studio for the Big Machine Record Label — an independent American record label specializing in country music artists. It was Bradbery’s first time inside a recording booth.

    “Being in there I felt like more of an artist,” said Bradbery. “It was so much fun and I just can’t wait to hear my songs.”

    Big Machine represents the likes of Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts. Executives, along with Bradbery, are deciding which song to release first, but Bradbery is excited about both. She said each is a reflection of her style and personality.

    “It definitely has that country twang to them,” Bradbery said. “You can hear the little crossover. So it’s really interesting and I love them.”

    With a record label and new songs she’ll need to promote, Bradbery’s got extra work to do. She finished a photo shoot inside a historic Nashville mansion on June 27.

    In a matter of months, Bradbery’s gone from a teenage girl who used to sing to the wall in her room, to the youngest winner of “The Voice” ever, to a signed singer with a team of agents, publicists, and a manager.

    Her mother, Gloria Martinez, said Bradbery has the drive, the spirit and the team to make her mark.

    “I feel like they feel as passionate about her as she does,” said Martinez. “About this whole experience and her future.”

    Bradbery returned home to Cypress last weekend for a big homecoming celebration at Community of Faith Church in Hockley, where she sang with hundreds of fans.(SD-Agencies)
