Don’t over-relax after NCEE
    2013-07-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The torturous National College Entrance Examinations (NCEE) in which I took part this year is now over.

After the long-term endeavor, every examinee, including me, just wanted to throw all of their textbooks as far as they could, revel in summer, and if possible, relax for the rest of their lives. But, a few days ago, I felt vacuous and suddenly realized that I should not take such relaxation for granted.

I love English. In order to change my boring life, I worked out a plan to polish my English. For example, I started to read some classic stories, such as “The Lady of the Camellias.” The recent difficult readings have made me very busy and tired, like what I felt in school before the NCEE. But I realized that I should feel satisfied, because my English and literary knowledge have improved gradually.

To describe what I am doing right now is not to show off how diligent I am. I just want to say that although the NCEE is very important, it is only a small part of my life’s goals, instead of all of what I’m set to pursue for a lifetime, so I should not over-relax, even after the demanding exam.

Unexpectedly, I have found that some peers around me share the same viewpoint. They are still diving into studies or cultivating their interests after the NCEE.
