Dear readers, As I opened my window this morning, I was immediately greeted by the smell of summer. Once I’d finally managed to step away from the window, I realized that it’s already mid-August, and the leaves will start to fall soon as the new season of autumn is arriving. Autumn marks the beginning of the new school year and I foresee a heavier workload as a sophomore student. I was able to compile a list of necessary textbooks by researching on the course website and teachers’ pages. Then, I went online to purchase the books. There are many books available online for reasonable prices. As a result, many students choose to buy their books off the Internet. Book exchanges are also popular — they provide a platform for students to buy and sell books to each other. With my textbooks bought, I began to pre-read and study some material. While skimming I came across many difficult concepts, but I’m sure those ideas will be easier for me to comprehend when covered in class, as I’ve already spent time thinking them over. There is a saying that opportunities favor the prepared. Thus, I’ve always believed in being ready and prepared for things, such as the new school year. How have you been preparing for the new semester? Sincerely, Bingyin |
