    How time flies. Although the long summer vacation passed quietly and many students are still missing it, I think it is time to meet our senior grade’s challenges bravely and make new plans.

    The day I came to Xin’an Middle School was really unforgettable. When I walked into the school with my parents, we were deeply attracted by its wonderful environment.

    The new campus is twice as large as the old one, especially the shining playground. Inside the school, there are a number of teaching buildings that consist of many multimedia classrooms.

    To tell the truth, I was a bit afraid of coming to an unfamiliar place in the beginning. Then I found that classmates and teachers are really very friendly, and we soon united together and became good friends.

    I’d like to tell you my experience of giving a speech at the school’s opening ceremony. I felt great honor to do that. When I stepped onto the stage, I was too nervous to say anything. At that moment, I saw my teacher give me a reassuring look, which gave me power and courage. I tried my best to calm down. In the end, I spoke every word with great fluency.

    I have made some plans for the new term. First, I should try to get at least half an hour of exercise every day to keep fit. Second, it is necessary for me to develop good learning habits, such as listening attentively to the teacher in every lecture. Thirdly, I should keep a good attitude about my workload and live a happy life. Last but not least, I will make as many friends as possible.

    As Plato said: “A good beginning is half done.” I hope everyone will have a good beginning. Then, keep on working toward your goal. Only with persistence can we make our dreams come true.
