    Jackie Chan to build theme park

    Chinese action superstar Jackie Chan has announced that he plans to build a theme park called JC World in Beijing, domestic media reported.

    The kung-fu star said he will build the park with a local partner, but didn’t disclose* the company’s name or when he hopes to break ground.

    Chan said the park will be about three quarters of a square mile in size and will feature five sections, each with a different theme, offering visitors a variety of “cultural experiences.”

    Cyrus performs at music fest

    Pop singer Miley Cyrus was a crowd favorite at the iHeartRadio Music Festival day event on Saturday in Las Vegas.

    The 20-year-old emerged onstage in all white, wearing a tight corset* and high waisted shorts that revealed some of her backside.

    Her four-song set opened with the anthemic* “We Can’t Stop,” where people onstage were dressed in flower, mushroom and rainbow costumes. She gyrated* and slapped a dwarf-sized dancer’s butt onstage.

    Madonna to release short film

    Madonna will release a 17-minute film as a free download via website Bittorrent next week, Rolling Stone magazine reported.

    The film, “Secretprojectrevolution,” released yesterday, marked the beginning of her new Art for Freedom initiative, in collaboration with the file-sharing service.

    Co-directed with Steven Klein, the movie will be available as a bundle complete with bonus material including still photos, trailers and an exclusive interview with Madonna.

    Jim Parsons win Emmys

    Julia Louis-Dreyfus claimed her second consecutive* best comedy actress Emmy Award on Sunday for her role as an ambitious political second banana* in “Veep,” with Jim Parsons again claiming the top comedy acting trophy for “The Big Bang Theory.”

    “This is so much good fortune it’s almost too much to bear,” said Louis-Dreyfus. “I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to make people laugh. It’s a joyful way to make a living.”

    Parsons added to the awards he won in 2011 and 2010 for the role of a science nerd. “My heart, oh my heart. I want you to know I’m very aware of how exceedingly fortunate I am,” he said.(SD-Agencies)
