Leonardo DiCaprio is set to produce and potentially star in a film adaptation* of the upcoming crime novel “Blood on the Snow” by Norwegian author Jo Nesbo. The book will be published next spring and is being written under Nesbo’s pseudonym* Tom Johansson. Its plot revolves around a hit man* who falls for the woman he’s been assigned to assassinate* and who just so happens to be his boss’s wife. Its sequel*, “More Blood on the Water,” is set to come out in the spring of 2015. The acquisition* deal is being negotiated by Warner Brothers Films, which acquired the rights to A. Scott Berg’s biography of Woodrow Wilson for DiCaprio in mid-September. DiCaprio was last seen in Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby,” an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel of the same name. He will next star in Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” playing a New York stockbroker who refuses to cooperate in a securities fraud case involving mob infiltration*.(SD-Agencies) |
