Ylvis turns ‘The Fox’ into children’s book
    2013-11-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    挪威组合Ylvis将《狐狸叫》改编成儿童书籍

“The Fox,” the ridiculous viral hit from Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis — whose members are brothers Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker — is soon to become a children’s book.

Simon & Schuster negotiated the deal with CAA, and is hard at work adapting the catchy*, call-and-response song with lyrics like, “Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!” and “Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!”

“What Does the Fox Say?” will hit shelves on December 10, in time to capitalize* on the Ylvis fever and the holiday shopping season. This is the latest coup for the brothers Ylvisaker, who recently signed a music deal with Warner Music Group and were parodied by Kerry Washington during her recent hosting stint on “Saturday Night Live.”

“I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched Ylvis’s hilarious*, mesmerizing*, unforgettable ‘The Fox.’ The lyrics and playfulness of the song lend themselves perfectly to the picture book format, and I’m ecstatic that Simon & Schuster is publishing Bard and Vegard’s first book,” said Simon & Schuster children’s publishing president Jon Anderson.(SD-Agencies)
