    ENTERPRISES and organizations from Hungary signed deals totaling about 2 billion yuan (US$326 million) Monday at a ceremony organized by Invest Shenzhen and the Hungarian Technology Center.

    Dongjiang Environmental Protection Corp., Shenzhen Environmental Protection Association, Aquaprofit Co. and the Hungarian Environmental Protection Association, for example, signed a cooperative memorandum to build a China-Hungary headquarters for work related to energy efficiency and environmental protection science and technology.

    Shenzhen Baifuli New Energy Technology Co., Hungarian KIS Industrial Co. and Hungarian Hi-Tech Investment Service Co. signed an agreement for construction of a production, research and development base for biodiesel.

    In addition, Invest Shenzhen and Hungarian Hi-Tech Investment Service Co. signed a cooperative memorandum involving network services for promotion of investment in Shenzhen, and Ecological Environment Technology Co. and Hungarian General Com Corp. reached an agreement about water resources management and environmental protection efforts.

    Budapest, Hungary’s capital, has been a successful subvenue for the annual China Hi-Tech Fair for the past six years.

    Representatives of Invest Shenzhen said the city is attracting competitive Hungarian technology in environmental protection, new energies and water resources management, along with talented scientific researchers, through the increasing cooperation.
