Chang Chen marries his ex-assistant
    2013-11-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Taiwan actor Chang Chen and his girlfriend of four years, ex-colleague Ann Zhuang, held their wedding celebrations at a cinema in Taipei on Monday, reported Taiwan media.

“I am really nervous. I wanted to have a warm gathering and share our joy with our friends. It isn’t a big event or some ‘Wedding of the Century.’

“I hope to have children as soon as possible, but I won’t have the time to go for my honeymoon because I still have to re-shoot some scenes for ‘The Hidden Heroine,’” said Chang, when he met reporters in the afternoon ahead of the wedding banquet.

His wife seemed particularly uneasy facing the media, but Chang was every bit the loving husband and was quick to come to her aid.

“It is her first day in show biz* and she is very nervous. I reminded her to be careful not to trip on her long dress,” said Chang, who stepped forward to answer questions from the media, and took care to adjust his wife’s gown.

Among the many celebrity guests who attended Chang’s wedding banquet were celebrity couple Tony Leung and wife Carina Lau, film directors Wong Kar-wai and Ang Lee, as well as Hong Kong actress Shu Qi.

Wong said he would “cut out less of his (Chang’s) scenes next time,” as a wedding gift to the 37-year-old actor.

Chang had only minutes of screen time in Wong’s martial arts epic “The Grandmaster,” though the actor spent almost three years preparing for and shooting the film.

When asked if he had any advice for Chang, Lee, who had worked with the actor in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” simply said, “Listen to your wife!”(SD-Agencies)
