    Yang Mi to marry

    Chinese actress Yang Mi will marry actor Hawick Lau on January 8, 2014.

    Yang posted a photo of two hands wearing wedding bands on her Weibo page at 9:58 a.m. on November 13.

    “This is how things are. You can now come and congratulate me,” Yang wrote.

    

    One Direction releasing album

    On November 25, fans of the British boy band One Direction will celebrate the release of “Midnight Memories,” available for pre-order* since September.

    For this third album, the group worked with a number of talents, including producer and singer Pharrell Williams, whose recent hits include “Get Lucky” and “Blurred Lines.”

    

    Miller once attempted suicide

    U.S. actor Wentworth Miller is once again speaking out about the struggles he endured* before coming out as gay in late August. The 41-year-old actor covers Out magazine for its December issue, and reveals that he previously felt “deep feelings of shame” before revealing that he is a gay.

    

    Italian documentary wins top prize at Rome film fest

    “Tir,” Alberto Fasulo’s documentary became the first Italian film to win the Rome Film Festival’s top prize on Saturday.

    “Seventh Code” earned Kurosawa the best director honor and Koichi Takahashi the prize for best technical contribution. The entire cast of “Acrid,” earned the prize for best emerging actor or actress and “Quod Erat Demonstrandum” won the jury prize.

    The best actor prize went to Matthew McConaughey for his work in Jean-Marc Valle’s “Dallas Buyers Club.” (SD-Agencies)
