Beyoncé trumps Kim Kardashian as most searched celebrity of 2013
    2013-12-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    碧昂斯问鼎2013热门搜索名人榜

KANYE WEST announced Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy just before New Year’s Eve in 2012, and the latter’s baby bump* made headlines until she gave birth prematurely on June 15. In the past year, the star also finalized her divorce from Kris Humphries, dyed her hair blond and got engaged — yet none of that was enough to make the new mom Bing’s most-searched celebrity of the year.

The 33-year-old E! star has been outranked by Beyoncé, who edged* Kardashian out of the top spot. In the past 12 months, the R&B singer caused controversy when she sang over a prerecorded track on Inauguration Day. She also headlined the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show (where she briefly reunited with Destiny’s Child) and starred in her own HBO documentary, “Life Is But a Dream.”

Beyoncé and Jay Z came under fire when they traveled to Cuba for their fifth wedding anniversary in April; the trip was later deemed an officially licensed “cultural exchange.” That same month, the “Grown Woman” singer kicked off her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour,” which will end on December 22 in Brooklyn.

The chart topper — who appeared in ads for H&M and L’Oreal — also voiced Queen Tara in the animated film “Epic,” which hit theaters on May 2. As if that weren’t enough, Beyoncé is currently working on her still-untitled fifth studio album.

Trailing behind Beyoncé and Kardashian is Rihanna, who comes in at No. 3. The rest of the list includes Taylor Swift (No. 4), Madonna (No. 5), Justin Bieber (No. 6), Nicki Minaj (No. 7), Amanda Bynes (No. 8), Miley Cyrus (No. 9) and Barack Obama (No. 10).
